Removing/Disabling duplicate addresses for Shop-Script

The "Removing/Disabling duplicate addresses" plugin works in both backend interfaces of the Shop-Script application and supports both the light and dark backend themes for UI 2.0.

The plugin removes duplicate shipping addresses in the Shop-Script customer account, cleans customer profiles, and keeps only the latest valid address.

What problem does the plugin solve?

By default, Shop-Script adds a shipping address to the customer profile with every new order, even if it differs only by a space or letter case in one of the address fields. Over time, customers accumulate dozens of identical addresses that cannot be removed from their personal account. This creates clutter in the database and complicates managers' work.

How does the plugin work?

The plugin automatically synchronizes the shipping address from the order with the contact profile, keeping only the latest valid address. With each new order, old duplicates are removed, and the last used address is saved in the customer card. As a result, the user always has one most "recent" shipping address in their account.

If you have an "old" online store with many customers and the database is already noticeably cluttered with such shipping addresses, the plugin allows you not to wait until each customer places a new order to restore order. The settings include "Manual Cleanup", which displays statistics before deleting unnecessary entries, showing how many and what can be removed:
