LLMs.txt — AI-context and GEO for Shop-Script

LLMs.txt removes everything that gets in the way of AI crawlers: menus, banners, scripts, footers, repeated blocks, and theme noise. Instead of heavy HTML, the plugin provides a compact llms.txt with the page's core meaning: products, categories, descriptions, features, prices, stock status, and a link to the original page.

On a real page, the HTML version was about 70,000 characters, while its llms.txt version was about 1,500 characters. That is roughly 47 times more compact.

AI gets the meaning, not the noise.

LLMs.txt solves this simply: the plugin creates separate text versions of Shop-Script storefront pages in the llms.txt format. It is clean markdown without visual clutter, built from the key headings, descriptions, and attributes of the HTML page, with support for the SEO Optimization plugin and mylang localization.

The plugin creates llms.txt for three page types:

Storefront Home

• page heading;
• short description, if filled in;
• Catalog — category tree;
• Products: ... — product selections from configured sets and categories;
• Docs — link to the regular HTML home page.

Category

• heading and short description;
• Breadcrumbs — parent categories;
• Subcategories — child categories, if they exist in the catalog;
• Products — product table with name, SKU, price, and stock status;
• Description — full category description;
• Docs — link to the regular HTML category page.

Product Page

• heading, short description, and summary;
• Description — product description;
• Features — product attributes;
• Offer — price, compare price, SKU, and stock status;
• Variants — SKU variants table, if the product has multiple variants;
• Images — product images;
• Reviews — rating and reviews;
• Breadcrumbs — category path;
• Tags — product tags;
• Services — product services;
• Related — related products;
• Categories — additional product categories;
• Video — product video;
• Docs — link to the regular HTML product page.

This way, AI services, search agents, and LLM crawlers get a clean semantic layer of your store instead of raw HTML.

What the Store Owner Gets

• A ready-made machine-readable catalog layer: AI services get separate llms.txt files for the home page, categories, and products without theme customization.
• URLs next to regular pages: the plugin adds /llms.txt to canonical storefront, category, and product URLs.
• Crawler discovery: HTML pages get a rel="alternate" link to the text version.
• Multi-storefront support: content and links are generated for the current domain, settlement, and storefront.

• Localization via MyLang: translated names, descriptions, attributes, and SKU variants appear in llms.txt on translated storefronts.
• Control over extra data: selected feature codes can be hidden from Features and Variants, so service fields are not exposed to AI.
• Cache without manual cleanup: generated llms.txt files can be cached in wa-data; the cache is invalidated when products, categories, or plugin settings change.

How It Works

The plugin does not invent a separate URL structure. It takes canonical Shop-Script URLs and adds a clear suffix:
