Product subpages translation plugin for Multilang app

The "Product subpages translation" plugin works in the backend interface of the "Multilang" application and supports both the light and dark versions of the UI 2.0 backend.

The plugin settings and "Autotranslate" also work in UI 1.3 of the Multilang application, but the legacy interface is not supported when editing product subpages in Shop-Script.

The plugin adds something that has been missing from Shop-Script online stores: full translations of product subpages. Each product subpage, such as "Delivery", "Warranty", "Package Contents" or "Instructions", can exist in all the languages of your store. Customers will automatically see it in their own language, while you no longer need to waste time manually copying content and switching between locales.

The plugin seamlessly complements the "Multilang" application and fills a gap in its functionality: the application itself translates products and categories in the store, but product subpages remained without multilingual support. Now this gap is closed.

What is the plugin for?

A store selling in multiple languages always faces the challenge of content localization. Products and categories are relatively easy to translate, but products often have additional pages: delivery terms, warranty information, size charts, package contents descriptions. Without translations, these pages are displayed to international customers in the default language, and some customers simply leave without finding the information they need.

The plugin solves several tasks:

translates product subpages into all store languages;
saves manager time: automatic subpage translation is available in the "Shop-Script -> Autotranslate" section through the "Multilang" application itself;
provides fast one-click translation directly from the product page;
fixes a known Shop-Script issue where the H1 heading on a product subpage is replaced with the META Title content.

Additional bonus: after enabling the H1 fix, the subpage heading is generated from the page name, while META Title is used strictly for its intended purpose, as the title tag in the browser and search results. The option can be enabled with a single switch in the settings.

Modal translation editor. Open the "Subpages" tab on the product page, select a language and fill in the fields: page name, META Title, META Description, META Keywords and description. Everything is available in one window, without switching between sections.
Automatic subpage translation. A "Product subpages" section has been added to the automatic translation section of the "Multilang" application. Select the language and fields, click the button, and all subpages will be translated automatically.
Bilingual editing mode. If needed, you can display the default language alongside the translation, making it easy to compare the original with the translation without having to remember everything.
Improved UI for working with product subpages. The plugin settings include a "Full-width modal window" option, providing more space for working with content.
Clean removal. When a subpage is deleted, its translations are deleted along with it, keeping the database clean (this behavior can be configured).

Who is the plugin for?

It is primarily intended for owners of multilingual Shop-Script stores that already use the "Multilang" application. If you sell in two or more markets and your products have additional pages, the plugin will make these pages equally clear and accessible to all customers. It is also useful for SEO specialists and content managers: accurate translations of meta tags and subpage headings directly affect the store's visibility in search results for each language.

How does it work?

After installation, the plugin appears in the settings of the "Multilang" application. On the product page, the "Subpages" tab opens the familiar modal editor, but now for each store language. Fill in the fields manually in the default language, then translate them using the automatic translation button (use additional plugins for the "Multilang" application to perform the translation), save, and the customer will see the subpage in their own language. Nothing else needs to be configured on the frontend: page names, content and meta tags are inserted automatically.
