Schema.org markup: FAQ in search and AI
People increasingly ask an AI, not a search box: «how do I return this?», «how long is delivery?». You have already written the answer - in your public knowledge base (FAQ). But a machine will show and cite it only if it understood that this is a question and this is its answer. Schema.org markup is a caption for every question in a language search engines and AI read directly. The plugin adds it for you - no code, no theme edits.
The JSON-LD format the plugin adds is the way Google itself officially recommends to mark up questions and answers (the FAQPage type). Yandex - Russia's leading search engine - states in its Webmaster docs that it reads Schema.org markup, and its Alice AI assistant is used by tens of millions of people a month.
Your knowledge base works for search
AI understands your answers
Runs on its own
Helpdesk has two very different parts: the public knowledge base (FAQ) you open to visitors yourself, and customer tickets - private correspondence. The plugin works with the first one only.
Nothing private leaks out. Only public FAQ questions under public sections enter the markup. Customer tickets, their messages, names and emails - the plugin never reads or outputs them. A closed or hidden question stays out of the markup. A section not bound to this storefront is not marked up either - exactly as Helpdesk itself decides.
When a search engine or an AI prepares an answer, it looks at your question page. The difference is what it actually sees there - and that decides whether it understands this is a Q&A and whether it references you.
Without markup
→ your answer is written, but others get asked and cited
With markup
→ the customer gets your answer and comes to you
Google describes the FAQPage type in its developer docs - markup for a list of questions and answers - and recommends the JSON-LD format specifically. Yandex confirms in its Webmaster docs that it weighs Schema.org markup. The trouble is that on an ordinary page your question and answer are mixed with menus, buttons and widgets - and the machine has to guess what is the question, what is the answer, and what is just layout.
Markup removes the guessing. It states, separately and in machine language: here is the question, here is its accepted answer, here is the section it belongs to. Search engines and AI do not parse the layout - they get the facts about your knowledge base directly and clean.
An assistant on a phone, in a browser or a speaker does not study your site carefully - it passes the query to its AI model, which builds the answer from AI search. What your question is, what the answer says and which section it belongs to are easier and more reliable to take from markup than to guess from page code. And «how», «how much» and «what if» are exactly what people ask an AI.
Who reads a structured knowledge base
Also covers Yandex and Alice - Russia's leading search engine and AI assistant, used by tens of millions a month, both of which read Schema.org. The clearer your questions and answers are to a machine, the better the chance people come to you for the answer.
FAQPage markup with the question and its accepted answer (Question + Answer): the machine sees this is a Q&A, not random text. These are parts of one system for preparing a site for AI search, and they do not replace one another. llms.txt is a map: it shows the AI where your sections and questions are, where to go. JSON-LD markup is the meaning of each page: what the question is and what the answer says - and the machine does not have to parse raw HTML full of counters and layout clutter to learn it. Social preview is a clean card when a link to an answer is shared in messengers. Together they give AI a full map, exact facts about every answer, and live distribution.
Three plugins from the one KakTak.Net line - map, meaning and preview - prepare a knowledge base for AI search together. One style, one support, one ecosystem.

Honest about how it works. Markup is not a direct ranking boost - Google says so plainly, and whether a search engine shows your question in a special block is its own call. But markup is exactly what makes your knowledge base understandable to a machine and lets search engines and AI reference it with confidence - without it, that simply does not happen. The plugin does not write answers for you: it turns questions and answers you already have into cards a machine reads without guessing. The rest is up to the search engines, and your part is to run the knowledge base like a human. Strongest paired with the llms.txt map and a clean share preview.
