UI 2.0 interface support

The "Multilingual posts & pages generator" plugin works only in the new backend interface of the Blog app and supports both the light and dark versions of the backend for UI 2.0.

The plugin for quick automatic filling of the blog with other languages based on already created pages. The plugin functionality supports the generation of both standard pages of the "Blog" app and the translation of posts.

Multilingual posts & pages generator - blog translation with AI.

The Multilingual posts & pages generator plugin is an automatic translation of posts and pages in the Blog app using artificial intelligence. Forget about manual content copying, searching for translators and hours of tedious work. All you need is a couple of clicks, and the neural network will do everything for you.

Why do you need this plugin?

If you run a blog in several languages or your business is entering the international market, you need to manage translations of posts and pages. Without the plugin this means:

  • creating each post manually for each language;
  • copying and pasting HTML code, risking broken layout;
  • hiring translators or translating yourself;
  • spending hours synchronizing changes.

The plugin solves all these problems. You set the base language (e.g., Russian), choose the target languages (English, Polish, German or any other) - and the plugin automatically creates fully translated posts and pages preserving the entire structure, design and SEO elements.

Main plugin features.

1. Automatic AI translation.

The plugin connects to leading AI providers: ChatGPT (OpenAI), DeepSeek, Gemini (Google) or Qwen (Alibaba Cloud). You choose the model that best suits your tasks and start the generation.

The AI does not just translate the text - it creates a full post or page in another language, preserving:

  • the entire HTML structure and layout;
  • images, tables, lists and media files;
  • JS scripts and interactive elements;
  • Smarty templates, links and the "more" separator.

2. Translation of posts and pages.

Everything important for visitors and search engines is translated:

  • titles and content of posts;
  • blog pages, including hierarchy and nesting;
  • meta tags title, keywords, description;
  • URLs in the translation language with uniqueness checking;
  • additional parameters of posts and pages.

3. Bulk generation with a convenient interface.

Select the blog (to translate from), select the target language (to translate into) and click "Load posts" or "Load pages" depending on the tab. Check the checkboxes of the needed posts (pages) in the visual tree and click "Generate selected".

Mass posts generation in Blog app
Mass posts generation

The plugin will sequentially create or update a translation for each post or page, showing the progress in real time. You can translate either individual posts or the entire blog at once, choosing only untranslated or only modified materials.

4. Translation of long articles in parts.

If the content exceeds the token limit of the selected AI model, the plugin splits it into several sequential requests (parts). Long materials are translated completely and without errors, while the number of API calls and the part size are configured manually.

5. SEO-optimized translations.

The AI translates not only the visible content, but also all SEO elements: titles, meta descriptions, keywords and URLs in the translation language.

6. Smart translation management.

The plugin tracks all links between original and translated posts. If you update the original, the plugin will mark the translation as "needs update" and offer to regenerate it. You always know which translations are up to date and which need to be updated.

7. Support for all languages and locales.

The plugin works with any locale installed in your Webasyst system. You can create translations for all countries and regions of the world - the plugin provides the ability to add new locales without changing the code.

When adding a locale, you can configure the default currency, number format, first day of the week and text direction (including RTL for Arabic, Hebrew and other languages).

8. Translation right from the editor.

You can translate any post or page without going to the plugin settings. While in the standard editor of the "Blog" app, just click the "Translate" button.

A modal window with a list of all available languages will open. Select the ones you need and create a translation in one click - preserving the structure, author and images.

9. Quick switching between linked posts.

A special language switcher appears in the editor, showing all available translations of the current post or page. You can instantly switch between the original and any translated version without returning to the posts list. This is especially convenient when you need to quickly compare the content or make edits to the translation.

10. Working via CRON - the site will not freeze while the plugin is running.

All translations are processed in the background via a CRON task. Run it once a minute - and the generation will proceed in batches, without blocking the admin panel or overloading the server. Finished translations appear gradually, like on a conveyor.

11. Flexible provider configuration.

For each AI provider you can:

  • specify your API key;
  • choose a specific model from the available ones - after entering the API key, all current up-to-date models will be pulled in;
  • set a custom system prompt for a special translation style;
  • choose the link behavior: copy as-is or leave empty;
  • test the AI connection right from the plugin settings.

12. Support for popular blog plugins.

The plugin understands the Webasyst ecosystem and can translate or transfer content of other popular plugins:

Plugin advantages.

  • Time saving. What used to take days and weeks is now done in minutes.
  • Layout preservation. The AI carefully handles the HTML structure, CSS and scripts. A translated post looks exactly like the original - just in another language.
  • Full control. You decide what to translate, into which languages and with which AI provider. A translation can be manually edited at any time. After generation, new posts and pages get the "Draft" status by default, so you can safely check each one.
  • Clear interface. The plugin supports the modern UI 2.0, has intuitive settings and a visual tree with linked posts, where you can immediately see which translations already exist and which do not.
  • Automatic synchronization. When the language is changed on the frontend, the plugin determines the correct linked version of the post regardless of the fact that URLs may differ.
  • Full integration with the "Polyglot" (Multilang) app. If the "Polyglot" app is installed, the plugin takes over the language switching logic for the blog. Frontend locales are synchronized with one click.

Who will benefit from the plugin

  • Bloggers and media that publish materials for audiences from different regions.
  • Online stores and companies that want to quickly launch international versions of their blog in different languages.
  • Corporate websites operating in several countries and needing multilingual content.
  • Web studios and content managers who create multilingual Webasyst projects and want to speed up the process.

Frequently asked questions.

  • ChatGPT (OpenAI), DeepSeek, Gemini (Google) and Qwen (Alibaba Cloud). ChatGPT and Gemini show the best results for European languages but are more expensive; DeepSeek is an excellent price/quality balance; Qwen is a good choice for Asian languages, but not only (new accounts get many free tokens for most models).
  • Yes, of course. After creation, translated posts and pages are regular posts and pages of the "Blog" app that can be edited in the standard editor.
  • All locales available in Webasyst. Plus you can add any new locale through the locale management interface in the plugin settings, including configuring the currency, number format and RTL text direction.
  • No. The plugin is designed the way Google recommends - each language (locale) in its own folder, i.e. the URL should start with /en/, /pl/, /de/ and so on for each language except the base one.
  • The neural network translates only visible text. The HTML structure, links, Smarty constructions, scripts and images are preserved unchanged. For popular image plugins, pictures are transferred with the alt and title translated.
  • Enable content splitting into parts - the plugin will translate a long article with several sequential AI requests, preserving the integrity of the layout.
  • No. All translations are processed in the background via a CRON task, which does not block the site or the admin panel.

The plugin has been tested and is fully compatible with PHP versions 7.4.33 - 8.3.30.
