Shop-Script 12 released

A big update to Shop-Script 12.0 has been published and is available in your Installer.

The important new feature in this version is the support for two new types of sales channels: point of sale and Telegram mini-app.

A point of sale is a setup combining one of your stocks with a physical address representing a pickup point where customers can collect their orders. You can select a point of sale when creating a new order on behalf of a customer in your backend or in the mobile app.

You can also offer your customers to select a point of sale when placing a quick order with only one item on your site using the Pickup in store button, which can be displayed next to the usual Add to cart button for each product. This new button opens up a special dialog for a customer to select one of the available points of sale, enter their contact information in a limited number of fields, and complete an order with a particular item with virtually one click, without going through the usual checkout process. Such “one-click” orders are available via a separate filter in your backend and must be processed using the new Pickup action.

The Telegram mini-app option is the setup linking your online storefront to the Telegram messenger, where customers can open a special Telegram-styled storefront with your products and place orders without leaving the messenger app. You may invite Telegram users either to your Telegram bot, or to your public Telegram channel with regularly posted Buy now buttons pointing to your products, to encourage them to proceed to your storefront’s mini-app within the messenger and to make purchases.

We have also added the option for customers to select a payment method after the order confirmation. This will allow them to complete the checkout faster, without having to make too many choices, and thus will improve your store’s conversion. Select this useful option in your checkout settings.
